The construction has commenced and will be completed by December 2025 ready for racing in 2026. The One Loft will comprise approximately 550 pigeons. The location will be at the SAHPA Headquarters at Gepps Cross - 13 kilometres from the heart of the Adelaide CBD. It will comprise of four races varying in distance from 280 kms up to 510 kms northwest of Adelaide.
Race 1 Carrienton 280 kms, Race 2 Hawker 360 kms, Race 3 Parachilna 415 kms, Race 4 Lyndhurst 510 kms. Prizemoney (depending on entries) will start at $2500 with the final race $50,000 to the winner!
What makes this One Loft concept so inviting is firstly its overseen by the SAHPA not just one individual. The location is extremely easy to get to for all flyers 13 kms from the CBD, and transparency is guaranteed. Managed by Tony Perkins Secretary of the SAHPA and an experienced fancier.
The oversight committee is also staffed by committee members of the SAHPA which again will demonstrate the openness and accessibility of the complex. Another enticing fact is the small number of 550 pigeons, which increases the chance of participating flyers of collecting prize money $$.
There will be three races under 500 kms which again the average fancier will have competitive pigeons to race this distance. The last race Lyndhurst 510 kms north west of Adelaide will be worth a whopping Fifty Thousand Dollars to the winner.
